Saying good-bye is never easy and as the family splits to its northern and southern parts there is a great deal of sadness. Savannah and Madison change so much in the interim that I feel as though I meet new, stunning ladies each time I see them. While departing is hard, there are no regrets for time spent in the company of loved ones.
Cheers to my mother/mimi and my father/papa for making it possible; for their never ending support and love and for their family commitment, big hearts, and positive attitudes.
Cheers to my Grandmother, whose recovery from severe illness was so swift that she was able to join us on this adventure. May she continue on her path of strength and willingness to change.
Cheers to my brother whose stoicism in the face of adversity is admirable and amazing.
Cheers to my husband and best friend, who has become an intricate part of the Heinz family, whose humor and wit are forever cherished and whose photographic skills are most praised.
And most of all cheers to my nieces. Maddie, who grows bigger each day, who explores without hesitation and who is open to a good book at any time. Savannah, who is wise beyond her years, smarter than a whip and a great cook.
